Physical Therapist Assistant
*$1,500 Sign-On Bonus*In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide physical therapy services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), these include clinical assessments as well as implementing treatment plans and services.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists in providing physical therapy for individuals evaluated by PT and in conjunction with physical therapy treatment plan.
Follows the treatment plan established by the PT and approved by individual's physician.
Collaborates with the individual's physician and therapist in course of treatment.
Works with staff and parents in carryover of programs to the individual's daily routine and experiences.
Travels to various sites in the community to provide services.
Job Requirements:
Licensed and registered as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the NYS Department of Education
1-year of training or working with the developmentally disabled population preferred
A valid NYS driver's license
New Graduates are encouraged to apply
Shift:
This position will be 14 hours a week spread between 2 full days or multiple half days with the potential to increase hours in the future
