Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our dedicated team in Sylmar, CA. This exciting position involves working in the field, taking on essential tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Engage in physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Operate both light and heavy equipment, as well as hand tools and powered industrial tools.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively, including respirators and other safety gear.
• Work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
• Handle potentially hazardous materials and work in environments with exposure to chemical and physical agents.
• Conduct field sampling and assist in equipment calibration.
• Inspect drums for compliance and safety.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of hazardous materials and waste.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and compliance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including being on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
Required Qualifications:
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined in the key responsibilities.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including working weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Must adhere to facial hair standards as per OSHA regulations for respirator use.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid Driver's license.
• Previous labor experience relevant to the field.
