As a Business Analyst in the Consumer Talent Programs (CTP) organization, you’ll have the opportunity to do so! We are looking for someone passionate about the intersection of analytics and talent management, with a desire to help employees grow and develop in their Amazon careers.


The CTP org owns the program strategy for the talent management of employees in the global Consumer business. As a member of CTP, you will be part of a broader team of data and analytics professionals, and will work closely with HR leadership, HR specialists, and program managers to influence talent management initiatives, tools, and programs to support WW Consumer employees.


In this role, you will be hands on with people data and program metrics to identify talent trends, gaps in the employee experience, and opportunities to improve existing talent processes at Amazon.


The ideal candidate is a creative, curious thinker with excellent analytical abilities, a demonstrated history of successfully partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and experience using data and business intelligence solutions to tell a compelling story and influence business decisions.


This role can be based in Seattle, Nashville or at one of our regional office locations. Virtual and hybrid location may be considered.


Key job responsibilities



  • Obsess over the voice of employees to ensure their perspectives are at the forefront of process development and implementation


  • Create and contribute to weekly and monthly metric reports that will be shared with the Consumer CEO and leadership team, and HR VPs

  • Use analytical and statistical rigor to analyze complex datasets and identify trends as they are happening

  • Draft concise documents communicating results to stakeholders, visualizing data where beneficial to drive decision-making

  • Build data visualization reports and tools for self-service using visualization tools like Quicksight, Power BI, and Tableau

  • Partner with research science teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights


About the team


The Consumer Talent Programs organization owns the program strategy for talent management in Consumer. Looking across the employee lifecycle, we obsess over the evaluation, calibration, performance management, promotion, succession, retention, org design and overall experience for Consumer employees through the lens of a talent rhythm.


This includes building efficient, interconnected, scalable, and product-driven talent mechanisms that work backward from our customers HRBPs, C-Team, managers, and front-line employees to create healthy talent pipelines.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field

  • 1-3 years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data / statistical / BI space

  • 1-3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as using Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight

  • 1-3 years of experience with SQL


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Advanced quantitative or technical degree

  • 1+ years’ experience in operations and / or human resources

  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analyst role

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to influence others

  • Experience interacting effectively across job levels and with both internal and external partners

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound business judgment, strong attention to detail, and excellent organization skills

  • Experience with a modeling language such as Python or R
