Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Strong and well managed brands outperform the S&P 500 and deliver superior results. The Devices and Services Brand Studio is looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to evangelize and scale Amazon s devices and services brands, such as Alexa, Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, and beyond. This individual will bring a passion for taking established brand strategies and driving implementation across the customer journey, through the publication of tools, education, consultation, and practical and strategic guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense for identifying gaps in brand guidelines and proposing solutions, along with brand strategy and brand design, earning the trust of cross-functional partners along the way.

The Senior Brand Manager works closely with teammates and partners across Brand Strategy, Naming Strategy, Customer Insights, Brand Design, Content Strategy, Go-to-Market, Product Management, UX and Industrial Design, as well as with brand, business, and legal stakeholders across Amazon. This individual thrives in complex, and fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of driving consistency and brand value through tools, process, scalable mechanisms, and brand measurement.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work with Brand Strategy, Brand Design, and Content Strategy to create, refine, publish brand guidance to the Amazon Brand Portal
  • Design and refine processes that capture and scale the Brand Strategy team s best practices. Own the articulation and communication of the team's capabilities
  • Create and run mechanisms that make brand consulting effective and measurable
  • Create and run mechanisms that connect with international devices brand leaders
  • Develop and execute a brand training and evangelism plan to include training modules, communications, and measurement
  • Develop and maintain a database that documents strategic decisions and captures institutional brand knowledge
  • Consult with global teams across the organization to ensure our brands are consistently understood and applied
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on best practices related to brand guidelines, metrics, and management strategies

The Devices and Services Brand Studio (short, Brand Studio or DBS) supports the Devices and Services mission by partnering with teams across the organization to define how our brands enrich customers lives and develop creative that builds meaning with customers and fuels the Amazon flywheel. The Brand Studio refines, shapes, and activates established world-class brands, including Alexa, Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle, and defines and launches new brands, products, services, and programs. The Brand Studio does this by crafting strategies, content, design, and experiences across the customer journey, and creates systems and mechanisms to amplify Brand Studio s craft at scale. The Brand Studio fosters a diverse culture of fun, creativity, and collaboration that celebrates the unique talents and perspectives of the team.


Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing or implementing brands in a brand management, account management, or brand marketing role.
  • BA or BS in business or liberal arts, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success creating complex brand systems for scale (global audience), developing brand guidelines, and/or implementing brand guidelines
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with both internal and external senior professionals and executives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with creative team members, marketing leads, and senior leadership
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, proactively identify and solve for blockers, and know when to escalate to keep the project moving forward
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done
