Purpose:


The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting business units with their compensation requirements, including job evaluation, structural re-organizations, salary, and bonus administration, overseeing the merit process, as well as long-term and short-term incentive plans and survey participation. They will provide consultative support and administration related to compensation planning, analysis, and research.


Job Responsibilities:


Consult & Collaborate



  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned business unit and partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and department leaders to deliver comprehensive program management and strategic guidance on all compensation related programs.

  • Participate in organizational and structure changes, make recommendations on level, grade and FLSA Classification.

  • Provide guidance on fair pay, offers, promotions, equities, and additional pay changes.

  • Analyze organizational pay practices and make recommendations for salary changes to ensure internal equity.


Job Evaluation



  • Support broad-based compensation processes including analyzing market data to create competitive compensation recommendations and evaluate positions to make job level and salary range recommendations as well as perform ad-hoc equity analyses.

  • Conduct job evaluations within assigned business units to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance of the organization's pay practices.

  • Responsible for market data analysis, job analysis and making recommendations based on sound research while maintaining internal equity and adhering to company compensation practices and philosophies.

  • Participate in compensation surveys, maintain market data database with up-to-date job always matching, including loading new survey data, employee data, and job matches.


Salary Structure & Geos



  • Participate in the design and implementation of pay structures, geographical differentials, and compensation models

  • Analyze and provide reports on compensation market trends through formal and/or informal research from salary surveys and other 3rd party vendors.


Miscellaneous



  • Responsible for monitoring changes in minimum wage and other pay laws and ensuring compliance.

  • Create and contribute to the development of PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, modeling, and predictive analytics with a focus of knowing the audience.

  • Participants in the development, updating and implantation of operating policies, guidelines, procedures, and training

  • Serve on project teams such as merit planning, performance management and bonus planning

  • Maintain awareness of special compensation programs (i.e. short-term incentive administration, long-term incentives, recognition, etc.) for assigned business units, and provide support as needed.

  • Performs other relevant job duties as required.


Job Requirements:


Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, HR, or related field

  • CCP, preferred


Experience:



  • 3-5+ years of Compensation experience required


Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:



  • Solid understanding of compensation practices and trends

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables-lookups and formulas

  • Experience with HRIS Systems, Pay Factors, PeopleSoft and SuccessFactors are a plus

  • Exceptional quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy and details

  • Comfortable analyzing and reporting data, with the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and consulting skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally

  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Physical Enviornment/Demands:



  • Some travel may be required

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
