Job summary


Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced sales and marketing professional to build, manage, and drive a confidential, strategic growth initiative that is focused on training and certifying the global systems integrators (GSI) and other Partners, to support the rapid growth of the AWS business.



The ideal candidate will have knowledge of global consulting models, and experience working within human capital contexts and tackling the challenges posed by the future of work.


The role will drive the delivery of the global workforce strategy, to meet the capacity, certification and training needs of Partners and AWS to accelerate growth globally.


The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex problems with great impact, and will support multiple stakeholders including the extended AWS GSI Leadership organization and the Partner teams.


Key job responsibilities



  • Engage with Partners to align the workforce strategy to their strategic growth plans and goals.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholder required to support the delivery of the workforce strategy, including AWS strategic inputs, success measurement, curriculum and capability development, systems and processes, and communications.

  • Develop an integrated communications plan for internal and external stakeholders, including mechanisms to deeply understand Partner needs, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Develop relationships and processes with cross functional groups including AWS Partner Network (APN), Training, Business Development and solutions architecture to deliver enablement solutions that support the initiative’s 3-year growth plan.

  • Liaise with the Finance and economics teams to validate and track the initiative’s impact through credible outcome metrics.

  • Provide forward-looking input to training and certification strategy that can evolve into a broad framework for the global and national system integrator teams.

  • Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of training and certification program in relationship to the GSI and national consulting partners.

  • Identify best practices to foster, manage, and track workforce demand generated by the training and certification program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry or segment.

  • 7+ years of sales and marketing, and strategic communications experience.

  • Strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results.

  • Experience with GSIs and / or large enterprise sales and complex agreements.

  • Experience with Salesforce or other 3rd party CRM systems.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience with learning and development programs, technology, and / or contexts.

  • Knowledge of Cloud services and technologies (preferably AWS).

  • Interpersonal, presentation and writing skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence others internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and financial metrics.

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company.

  • Experience working with Channel Partners and / or Global System Integrators.

  • Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and effective in ambiguous situations.

  • Meets / exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.

  • Meets / exceeds Amazon’s functional / technical depth and complexity for this role.
