DESCRIPTION

Job summary
This role will help drive some of Amazon's most strategic and impactful partnerships and investments across our global fulfillment and logistics business.

Amazon is seeking an extremely talented Corporate Business Development leader to focus on Worldwide Operations, our global logistics and fulfillment business. Corporate Business Development is part of the centralized Corporate Development team and is responsible for generating, managing, and executing some of Amazon's most complex and high impact partnership activities and transactions. This includes managing relationships and negotiations for partnership deals which are unconventional in nature, need a centralized advocate, have equity ownership or investment requirements, and/or have broader implications to multiple Amazon business units. We regularly work with major technology companies as well as high-growth start-ups to identify new partnership opportunities. Our work spans across WW Ops, including areas like Amazon Global Mile, Amazon Transportation Services, Amazon Robotics and Customer Fulfillment, Amazon Air, Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Logistics, Amazon Fresh, Merchant Services, and other key teams across the organization. This position will leverage your strong understanding of digital technology, commerce, and high-tech industries to structure forward-thinking partnerships and high-impact deals around real-world challenges and opportunities associated with delivering on our customer promise. In particular, we are highly focused on supporting Amazon's decarbonization initiatives, including The Climate Pledge, by driving sustainability into our transportation fleet.

This key role will be highly visible at the most senior levels of Amazon, and you will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to understand where our relative advantages or risks lie, if/when major features are in existing roadmaps, and current trends around innovation, consolidation and customer adoption. We dive deep and provide thoughtful analysis, but are adaptable and action-oriented, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. Executing strategic partnerships is our primary objective. Specifically for Worldwide Operations, you will be working on some of the most exciting and high-profile projects at Amazon as we become a global leader in end-to-end supply chain and technology-enabled logistics. Examples include the launch of the Delivery Service Partners program, our Rivian electric vehicle program, the expansion of Amazon Air, and the launch of Amazon operations in new geographies.

We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker who is passionate about Amazon and the future of technology. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast paced setting that is constantly evolving. Proving you are an effective negotiator with strong business judgment and the ability to Think Big is a critical part of this job. Corporate Business Development is a small, tight-knit team that values authentic, strong-willed individuals who think creatively and will proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Amazon's businesses.
