Job summary


Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to join the Human Resources Finance team. This high visibility role is focused on supporting WW AWS HR and recruiting teams to achieve their goals by providing reliable data, analysis, and support.


This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with HR leadership and will be responsible for controllership, building financial / operational metrics and reporting, leadership updates, and forecasting and analysis.


A successful candidate will be highly analytical, have excellent technical skills, and have the ability to articulate complex analyses in a clear and succinct manner.


They possess a keen attention to detail, have a passion for driving improvement, and have the curiosity to put themselves in new and challenging situations to increase their knowledge.


The role involves interaction with HR leadership and Finance leadership requiring strong communication and business partnering skills.


Key job responsibilities



  • Controllership of the business, including ensuring data integrity

  • Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability


  • Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing

  • Becoming a subject matter expert on the financial data to provide additional insights

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to collaborate on metrics, reporting, goals, and business reviews

  • Support long and short term financial planning processes

  • Leading ad hoc financial analyses for new HR initiatives

  • Publishing monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance metrics


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in developing financial reports and metrics

  • Advanced Excel & business modeling skills

  • Experience working with large-scale data and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Cognos)

  • Superior attention to detail and have the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast paced, ambiguous, and rapidly-changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners to deliver results

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective communication
