Walmart Connect is Walmart’s advertising platform for brands, uniquely designed to reach hundreds of millions of U.S. shoppers across their entire shopping journey. We connect billions of shopping behaviors to real transactions (both online and in-store), and help marketers truly understand how their marketing drives results.

The Walmart Connect Brand Strategy team is looking for a seasoned storyteller with exceptional skills creating presentations for media ad sales teams to help evolve the Walmart Connect narrative to increase awareness and position the brand as a must-buy in the digital advertising space to support our revenue growth goals.

The ideal candidate has superb communication, project management, and collaboration skills with a proven track record for crafting impactful B2B presentations.

Position Description
Work in lockstep with the Director of Brand Strategy to drive MarCom, Sales, & brand initiatives to drive must-buy status in the retail media industry

  • Support Director in the creation of an annual marcomms plan, doing your part to keep leadership informed on progress and results
  • Craft key message themes, strategies, and presentations to shape and communicate our vision and mission
  • Serve as a lead in the development of enterprise-wide sales materials, (collateral, emails, whitepapers, website copy, case studies, infographics)
  • Create a comprehensive slide library for the sales team maintaining and updating as our products, services and sales proposition evolves
  • Mine custom brand health studies for insights to guide messaging strategy, and use advertising performance metrics to offer target audiences reasons to believe
  • Suggest new proof points for the research and performance teams to work towards
  • Become the expert in our competitive set to find unique reasons to believe that can be owned by Walmart Connect
  • Ensure that all content is on-brand and consistent across all channels
  • Drive operating efficiency & compliance with internal partners for marketing principles like effective briefings, creative reviews, and brand consistency
  • Leading a growing team of brand and content managers
    • Implementing plans to coach, motivate and develop individuals on the team—with clarity on personal goals and growth plans.
    • Manage, review and provide feedback on the team’s projects and output to ensure robust and timely delivery relative to goals—ensuring that it provides value and reflects strategic intelligence, creativity, and innovation.
  • Nurture key relationships for crucial collaboration for both strategic inputs and executional support, including:
    • Executive and sales leadership to identify priorities and make sure your work ladders up to broader business objectives
      Product Marketing Team to develop clear, concise go-to-market plans for product launches and drive adoption of new products and enhancements
    • marketing strategists to understand each target audience segment
    • corporate communications, event managers, learning and development team-- and more

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in media ad sales marketing
  • Product marketing, retail, or advertising agency experience a plus
  • Deep experience and passion for brand storytelling, creating unique sales propositions and presentations
  • Strong writing and creative thinking, and powerpoint presentation creation skills
  • Masterful at translating consumer insights to meaningful audience, messaging & creative strategy
  • Track record in leading impactful, breakthrough marketing initiatives that exceed business objectives
  • Team management experience with direct reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
