Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a team that prioritizes safety and environmental responsibility? Clean Harbors is seeking an Emergency Response Field Service Technician I to be part of our dedicated team. This position will involve hands-on work in the field, focusing on hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the safe handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Follow all health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, as well as hand and powered industrial tools.
• Use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety, including respirators and protective clothing.
• Work in various weather conditions and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
• Be prepared to handle environments that may expose you to hazardous chemical and physical agents.
• Conduct field sampling activities and assist in calibrating equipment.
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Be available for on-call emergency response duties, which may require working weekends and holidays.
• Perform other assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Reliable transportation to get to work.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Agree to respiratory fit testing and meet facial hair standards as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous relevant labor experience, particularly in emergency response or hazardous material handling.
