Very hard to be promoted. I went to work here thinking i was gonna be promoted. i have a masters in MBA, been here for 8 months and still no hopes. i have applied more than 15 positions got 2 interviews and i was not considered. I will apply for four more positions if i don't get it within one year i am Resigning. I will update you guys on What happens. update: i decided to resign. You are better of applying for a management position from outside. Don't go there thinking that opportunities will just present themselves. Go there thinking long term and long term might not yield your goal either. "My personal opinion"Good luck guys!

At the beginning in 2019, I enjoyed using Amazon's innovative robotic system to help me stow or pick quickly, but then the honeymoon was over and I had to focus on being as productive and efficient as possible. Everyone worries about their rate as a new hire, but as long as you're not in the bottom performing 5% or make alot of quality errors, then you'll be fine.
Throughout the year, it is possible to take days off if work volume is low with VTO (Voluntary Time Off - Unpaid). In July and December, there is mandatory overtime (12+ hr days) and inventory counting in January.
According to the 2021 Shareholder letter, Amazon knows that you can get injured after only a couple months of working, but the short term disability benefits (60% pay) are not available until after 10 months of continous employment.
Luckily as of 2022, it is now possible to apply for the same benefits through CT Paid Leave. If you ever have to leave the company and get rehired, you start from base pay all over again and are retrained.
Amazon's benefits begin on your hire date which is usually a Sunday. If you know your A-Z login, you can then apply for insurance, use the employee discount, and buy mandatory work shoes.
Other companies like the ALDI warehouse now have higher pay and less work hours so I'm not sure if the 330items/hr performance requirement to work here is worth it anymore.

Okay so I applied to Amazon this location thinking they hire low class felons. Well they do not do not waste your time. I applied over 2 and a half weeks ago and no one called me nothing. Had to call contact support to have them tell me that I half to re-apply on May 21st. Which isn't gonna happen I don't know why anyone applys for this company and location. I see nothing but bad reviews on how they treat there employees as well so kinda happy I didn't get the position.

You all wonder why seizure rates and turnover rates are so terrible during peak. Its really not the shifts most of the time. You all hire these new managers that need empath training they walk around giving write ups like candy. As if the stress isnt enough people who have worked here 5+ years get close to loosing their job from someone whos been here 5 months. Even though those employees have been top percentage in the entire building. Days and nights are bad because of this.
