Nice store. Love the ability to scan my phone when I walk in, bag my groceries as I shop and then scan my phone again to check out. Great variety of bagged salads and ice cream. Their store branded items are very competitively priced. Will be shopping here again.

It's huge and we'll stocked. Employees were very friendly and helpful! Meat and seafood departments are nice, great cuts at very reasonable prices. The seafood was beautifully displayed and there are lots of choices. Checkout was a breeze. Prices are good and comparable to other stores in the neighborhood. Will try again!

Even though I work in IT, the technology accomplishment of this store is amazing. They do not have the carts with the screens as seen in some videos and even the uploaded pictures here. But the many sensors hanging from the ceiling are the thing that as you enter in scan your Amazon app makes a profile of you and your party and then they track you around the store seeing if you or anyone in your party takes something off the shelf or puts it back on the shelf. This creates a manifest of what you actually put in your cart, or your bag.
They have a mix of products, some very common and well-known brands and then they have higher-end and organic brands. They also have counters for meat and fish and hot food and a deli but I have not purchased anything from those areas so I'm not sure how the automation of what you buy works there. Overall it is a very interesting experience.
The last thing I'll say is that the first time I went we got our order total and invoice in the Amazon app within an hour. Yesterday when we went in the afternoon, we still had not received the final invoice. I'm hoping it picked up the coupon I used at the scanner while walking out.

It may be too early to tell because I went on the day of the Grand Opening, but as of right now I thoroughly enjoyed the store. Novelty of scanning my phone to get in may be quickly worn out. Checkout is indeed a breeze and is literally just scanning your phone and walking out. I'll definitely be shopping there again in the future to fully review them and see how comparable the prices are.

Definitely a fun place to check out for a new grocery store experience, but the prices are NOT ideal. Even with the 50% off coupons they sent in the mail, the prices at Aldi were still cheaper for almost everything. The best deal for sure is the 15 cent bananas, but other than that.... even the Amazon brand products are more than store brand products at other stores. I would like to check out the self-serve restaurant sometime, but that might be my last visit.
